Thank you for your student's registration for Fall 2012-2013 school year. We look forward to working with your family this year! Below are some important procedures and reminders for your review. Academic Aftercare will be open the first day of school, August 21, 2012.

 

Behavior System

First request: warning

Second request: yellow card sent home

Third request: time out and red card sent home

Color cards: A brief incident description, teacher and student sign and date it, send it immediately to front desk to be copied for file and placed in sign out book for parent.

 

Bus Safety

Your student will be reminded of bus procedures to maintain the safest environment on the bus at all times.


Dismissal Plan

Please note on your student’s dismissal plan at school "Academic Aftercare". The School District of Hillsborough County (SDHC) does NOT permit this plan to be changed unless in writing by the parent/guardian. You may change your dismissal plan with Academic Aftercare via phone, email, or text.


Early Release Dates

We move homework helper and center rotation up one hour earlier each Monday for all early release dates. All homework helper sessions will begin at 2:00pm instead of 3:00pm.

 

Emergency Management Procedure

If SDHC dismisses students early or cancels school in the event of hazardous weather or Homeland Security alerts Academic Aftercare will be closed. It will be necessary for parents/guardians to pick students up at their local school.  



Hours

We are open from 1:30pm-6:00pm on Monday's and 2:30pm – 6:00pm Tuesday-Friday.
We are closed all holidays including Good Friday, Thanksgiving break, Winter break, and Spring break. 


Non-Student Dates

We are open 8:30am-6:00pm at the Henderson location on three of the SDHC non-student dates: October 19, January 22, and March 29. *Please refer to the SDHC calendar link above.


Medical Alerts

Please be sure you have noted all medical alerts on the medical authorization form and yellow student information card.


Payments

Payments are expected on the first day of each month. Please note a late fee will be added to your account if payment has not been received in the appropriate time. At this time we only take checks payable to "Academic Aftercare" or cash. Payments may be dropped off in the payment box on the counter at the front desk area.


Phone Contact/Not going to be on the bus

If your student will not be picked up by Academic Aftercare it is necessary you contact us via text, email, or phone call by NOON if possible. Administration will be looking for your student if you do not inform us of the dismissal change. Please save our info:

Sign In/Out Book

There will be a grades K-2 and 3-5 sign in/out book on the counter. Please sign your student in or out each day. This is also a communication area for parents/guardians. Any necessary communication items will go here. 

 


Student Information Card

 

You will be receiving your student’s yellow student information card back to complete teacher information the first week of school.
